What half an hour actually means
It means the install window gets planned rather than improvised, and that is about the whole of it. Arrival times are set with a real buffer instead of an optimistic one, and where a venue allows access the day before, taking it is the single easiest way to make your event morning calm.
Air-filled work is what makes that possible. Garlands, arches and columns built without helium hold their shape for days, so a Liberty booking can go up the evening before and look exactly the same when your guests arrive. Anything with helium in it still goes in on the day.
The drive does not change the price. Design, balloons, delivery, installation and takedown come back as one number, the same way they do for a job ten minutes from home.
The rooms around Liberty
Liberty gives you two very different kinds of space, and they need different builds.
Downtown around the square, the buildings are old brick with tall ceilings, plaster and a lot of character. Height is a gift, and those rooms photograph beautifully. What they do not want is anything attached to the walls, so those installs run on freestanding frames, weighted bases and removable hooks. Ask your venue for their decor policy when you reserve the room and forward it with your details.
Out in the subdivisions on the north and east sides, you are usually working with a great room, a nine foot ceiling and a staircase. Those are excellent for balloon work. The stair rail in particular is the most underused surface in a Liberty house, and a garland running down it gives you a photo angle nobody else at the party thought of.

May is the hard month
Liberty is a college and high school town, and that shows up hard in the calendar. Between William Jewell commencement and the high school graduations, the back half of May is the single busiest stretch of the year for anybody doing party decor in Clay County.
If your event is in May, send the date long before you have decided on colors, a theme or anything else. Holding the slot is the part that matters. The design can be worked out in the weeks after.
Autumn runs a close second, with the Fall Festival weekend and the run of birthdays and holiday parties that follow it. September through December is worth booking earlier than feels necessary.
