How much does balloon decor cost?
It depends on the size of the piece, how many balloons it takes and how long the install runs, which is why there is no price list here. A single tabletop bouquet and a full room styling are not close to the same job. Send the date, the space and roughly what you want, and you get a real number back within 24 to 48 hours with no obligation attached to it.
How far in advance should I book?
Two to four weeks is comfortable. Spring and summer fill up faster because of graduations, showers and outdoor season, so those dates are worth claiming early. Specific colors sometimes need ordering, which is the other reason for lead time. Short notice is always worth asking about, because it comes down to what is already on the calendar that weekend.
What do you need from me to quote a job?
The date, the venue or address, roughly how many guests, and any colors or theme you already have in mind. Photos of the space are the single most useful thing you can attach, because they answer questions about ceiling height, wall surface and where people will actually stand.
How do I actually book?
Send your details through the quote form or call. You will get a design idea and a price back within 24 to 48 hours. Once you approve it, the date is held and the balloons get ordered. Nothing is charged for the conversation, and nothing gets ordered until you say yes to the plan.
The balloons themselves
How long do balloon decorations last?
Air-filled garlands, arches and columns hold their shape for days indoors, which is why most installs can go up the day before. Helium-filled latex is a different problem: it floats for roughly 12 to 24 hours and then starts to sink, so helium pieces are delivered the day of the event.
Can I choose my own colors?
Every installation is built to your palette. Send a swatch, a saved image or the invitation and we will match it as closely as balloon stock allows. Latex comes in fixed shades, so occasionally an exact brand color lands a step warmer or cooler. When the color really matters, tell us early so we can order rather than substitute.
Can balloon decor go outside?
Sometimes, and the answer depends on the spot rather than the season. Direct sun heats latex until it pops, wind pulls at anything not weighted, and cold temporarily shrinks balloons until they warm back up. Covered patios, shaded entrances and north-facing walls do well. Open lawns in the middle of a July afternoon do not.
What happens if something pops before the event?
Balloons fail occasionally, usually from heat, a sharp edge or a curious kid. If something goes wrong before your event starts, call and we will come fix it. That is easier to promise on a local booking than a shipped one, which is one of the practical arguments for hiring somebody who is twenty minutes away.
On the day
Do you deliver and set up?
Yes. Delivery, installation and takedown are all included in the quote. We arrive ahead of your start time, build the piece on site, and come back after the event to clear everything out. You are not expected to own a ladder or figure out what to do with a wall of balloons at the end of the night.
Do you install in venues that do not allow tape or nails?
Yes, and most rented rooms have that rule. Freestanding columns, frame-built arches and removable adhesive hooks cover nearly every restriction we come across. Get the venue's decor policy in writing when you reserve the room and send it with your event details so the design starts in the right place.
Do you take the decorations down afterward?
Yes, takedown is part of the job and it is included in the price. We schedule it around the venue's own end time. If you want to keep a piece, or hand centerpieces out to guests, just say so beforehand and we will leave those behind.
Events and areas
What areas do you serve?
Roughly an hour's drive from Pleasant Valley in any direction, which covers the whole Kansas City metro on both sides of the state line. On the Missouri side that means Liberty, Gladstone, North Kansas City, Kearney, Smithville, Excelsior Springs, Richmond, Riverside, Parkville, downtown Kansas City, Independence, Blue Springs and Lee's Summit. On the Kansas side, Overland Park, Leawood, Prairie Village, Lenexa, Olathe, Shawnee, Kansas City, Kansas and Leavenworth. If you are sitting right at the edge of that, ask anyway.
Do you work with kids' themes and character parties?
Constantly. Cow print, farm animals, sea turtles, superheroes and whatever else is currently the favorite. Themed foil balloons carry the character and the latex carries the palette, which is how a themed party ends up looking designed instead of looking like a party aisle.
Can you do corporate events and grand openings?
Yes. Business installs are usually simpler to schedule than home parties because the space is open and the load in is at street level. Grand openings, anniversaries, product launches, holiday parties and employee appreciation days all take the same approach: pick the spot people will photograph and build there.
